OFF THE PEGS III: AUGMENTED REALITY SHOOT

"Off the Pegs" Location Post-it Shoot (Pairs Optional/10-30 Seconds)

Each animator should identify a location and create animation that suits the space. This can be Post-it cycles (walk, run, climb, etc.) or animation specifically designed to interact within the chosen location.

1. Create and Test Animation:  

• Identify Location
• Animate cycles on Post-it Notes or transparencies (runs, walks, transitions, etc. consider the possibility of two characters interacting). 
• You'll want to test your animation on the downshooters or in the Stop Motion Studio ap for timing and flow of action.

 

2. Shoot on Location (work in pairs): 

• Follow instructions on my the Smart Phone Animation Tutorial to get started.
• Download the Stop Motion Studio App to your smart phone.
• Check out a smart phone kit and a tripod.
• Set up and shoot your animation working in pairs alternating between animator and cameraman.
• Export your final movie as mp4 at 1920 x 1080

 

Specs:

• Shoot on Smart Phone Stop-Motion App.
• Final animation should be 10-20 seconds
• Shoot on 1's at 12 or 8 FPS
• Final movies should be mp4 1920 x 1080
